Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Former Danish PM and Former CEO, Save the Children
Helle Thorning-Schmidt is a former Prime Minister of Denmark and a globally recognised leader in politics, international affairs, and business. Leader of the Social Democratic Party for a decade and Prime Minister from 2011–2015, she steered Denmark through the financial crisis, reduced child poverty, and increased education investment, becoming the first woman to hold both roles. She later served as CEO of Save the Children International, overseeing operations in 120 countries. A Fortune “World’s Greatest Leader,” she advises governments, businesses, and NGOs, serves on multiple international boards, and remains a prominent advocate for democracy, human rights, gender equality, and free speech.
